Using trajectory layouts

Trajectory layout arranges its children along a trajectory path in 3D space. Use a trajectory layout when you want to arrange content on a trajectory. You can define simple line and circle trajectories in Kanzi Studio and can import more complex trajectories as a 3D asset. See Importing 3D assets and Using spline trajectories.

Creating a trajectory layout

To create a trajectory layout:

  1. In the Project right-click the scene where you want to create a trajectory layout and select Create > Trajectory Layout.
In the Preview enter the Debug mode, if you want to see the trajectory.
  2. Add objects to the trajectory layout.
As you add objects, Kanzi Studio positions them along the trajectory. By adjusting properties you can control, for example, the position of objects on the trajectory and the distance between them.
For example, in the Project right-click the trajectory list box and select Create > Box.
  3. In the Library select the trajectory of your trajectory layout and set its properties, or create a new trajectory. See Using circle trajectories, Using line trajectories, and Using spline trajectories.
For example, for a Circle Trajectory set its Radius and Angle.
